The Lyman family owned a spring at Manchester Green, its name being the Siderite Spring Co. When Mabel married Aaron she took over the spring, renamed it the Lyman Spring Water Co. which supplied most of the homes at the Green for years at little cost. When the new Manchester Green school was built in 1922, town water came to Manchester Green.
